Descartes Series, beyond raw materials.
From the discomfort of discarded wood in the midst of the creative chaos of 2021 comes the endless collection called Série Descartes além da matéria prima.
The series is made up of unique pieces produced with waste wood from different locations, and the result is furniture and accessories in non-standard visual formats.
The inspiration for the creative process of the Descrates Series comes from the discomfort of discarding materials. This discomfort gives us the freedom to add movement to the pieces, as the use of different types of wood challenges us to find a balance between design and the rough.
The choice of stools and chairs to make up the majority of the pieces in the Descrates Series is due to the fact that they are pieces that you naturally share with other people in the space. In this way, each piece manages to establish a communication relationship with the public, who share the experience and share feelings about the observation.
The entire process of the Descartes Series creative line, from rescuing the wood to planning the production, results in pieces that are unique in shape, texture, natural state and history.
The aim of each piece in the Descartes Series is to invite people to question the possibility of use at first, and then to settle in, which naturally reflects in unconscious discomfort about use.
